Welcome to Darnell Stapleton's website!  Darnell was the starting center on the Rutgers University Scarlet Knights Football team for the past two years and signed a free agent contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers on NFL Draft Day 2007.  This website will highlight his career, past and upcoming appearances, and items for sale. During his 2 years at Rutgers, the team went 18-7 and made bowl appearances in the Insight Bowl (2005) and the inaugural Texas Bowl (2006).  This was the first time in Rutgers history that the team went to back-to-back bowls -- a huge accomplishment since the school played in the first ever college football game in 1869.  The Texas Bowl also marked the first bowl win for New Jersey's state university. Check back frequently over the next few weeks as Darnell works his way on to the roster of an NFL team!
